BBC Radio 2 - 500 Words - 500 WORDS 2015.
Year 6 BBC 500 Words Writing Competition Dear Parents and Carers, I am pleased to announce that Year 6 will be taking part in the BBC children’s writing competition, entitled 500 words. 500 words is a fictional writing competition, open children up to the age of 13. Prizes will be awarded in.
The BBC Radio 2 500 Words Children's Writing Competition is now open for entries! This is a competition open to children aged 5 to 13 years, and it's really easy to enter. They just need to write an original story in 500 words or fewer and submit it online.
Chris Evans from BBC Radio 2’s Breakfast Show has launched the station’s 4th annual 500 WORDS children’s story writing competition. The 500 WORDS competition asks children aged 13 and under to make up an original work of fiction using no more than 500 words.
Well, why don’t you enter the competition then if you are really interested! BBC two radio are hosting it and you have to be at least 5 to enter and 13 years old maximum. I was just letting you know because this school (which is very talented at story writing and poetry) are also entering it in key stage two children, (year 3, 4, 5 and 6).
With two story categories, for five-to-nine-year-olds and ten-to-13-year-olds, 500 Words is an open invitation to the nation’s children to dust off their imaginations and write a 500-word story.
This is just something I did for a contest. I don't expect to win but if I do then it's all just for fun. I didn't see any prize list so oh well. I just thought I'd put it on here for people. About the contest, they wanted a spooky story 500 words or less.
